What is your work process?

From start to finish, each work process can differ slightly depending on the client or project, but my general process goes as follows:

  1. Initial contact. Clients reach out with an inquiry of work or directly with a proposal request for a project.

  2. Meet and discuss. After a few preliminary email exchanges with the client, we agree to schedule a meeting, either via video or phone, to discuss: the details of the project, the expectations, and the desired finished product.

  3. Project proposal and budget. Within the “meet and discuss”, we also communicate about the budget and charges for work. The budget should always be representative of the work expected. When we agree on the proposed charges, I will send the client an invoice detailing the charges along with an agreement.

  4. Start work. Prior to beginning, I will first need all related research material for the project from the client, this can include any rough sketches, ideations, and literature. Providing this allows me to “hit the ground running” with my workflow.

  5. Research and draft. The first steps immediately after researching is to provide the client with the first draft sketches, which they will review and provide comment or further directives. If the client would prefer, we can schedule another call or they can send their notes over with a ‘green light’ to continue work.

  6. Work. Complete work in requested medium, in accordance to the previously agreed upon timeline.

  7. Feedback. There are 2 rounds of feedback allowed per work process, both will be arranged within the work process timeline. The first feedback session is midway through work, for any changes or modifications in accordance to what was agreed upon in the previous sketch phase. The second is prior to completion, for final details and small scale modifications. The draft/sketch review is not part of these two feedback sessions.

  8. Delivery of work. Work will be delivered on time in the final file type that was declared on the invoice and agreement.

  9. Payment. Upon completion and submission of the work outlined in the invoice, the client will receive the final bill of charges with specified pay date.

can you provide a definite timeline for work?

Absolutely! Depending on the scope and requested level of details in your project, I can provide you with an estimated timeline for work, which would include 2 review sessions.

what medium do you primarily create work with?

The specific medium used per project depends on the client’s proposal and prefered final product, however, I can work in both digital and analogue /traditional media. Digital media includes but is not limited to: vector designs, 2-D animations, and digital paintings/coloration. Analogue/traditional media includes graphite drawing, painting (watercolor, gouache, oil), pen-&-ink, and charcoal/pastel chalk.
