Kuukua Wilson received her Master of Scientific Illustration from Maastricht University in The Netherlands. She has been a practicing professional illustrator for years and specializes in Medical and Scientific visualization. Through her educational journey and professional works, she has been a big advocate for accessibility in the form of diverse representation in visualizations.
Her professional works are research and technique driven. For both medical and scientific visualizations, clear and concise storytelling is always the central goals. It is important to prioritize accessibility to: science, medicine, and information regarding our collective health. This is achieved by transforming information into visually engaging and didactic imagery that reaches wider audiences. She specifically accomplishes this by working with a variety of scientific communication authorities (Doctors, researchers, Health communicators, Medical device firms) to create clear and informative illustrations and diagrams.
